There are indeed many file sharing options. I believe a service launched recently that does file sharing on various networks along with Twitter a 15MB limit. http://www.acamin.com is the link.
As a Twitter user, there are other alternatives as well like TwitPic for pictures only, twitshare, etc. Not sure how many people actually use Twitter as a file sharing service.
