If you are anything like me, you know how difficult life's minutae can be sometimes. Whether it's keeping track of your finances, or doing something as simple as setting reminders and scheduling your time, technology is advancing at such a fast clip that it is making those annoying chores in life easier and more doable. Here are a few of my favorites:
- Split The Rent:-
Split the Rent is one of my favorite online tools that I found out about recently. If you live with more than just yourself, and your roommates are sharing costs, this site makes it easy for you to keep track of all your split expenses. You can add whatever expense you want, and you can split it evenly or according to whatever percentage criteria you select. Not only does Split the Rent help you keep track of expenses like rent and utilities, but it also enables you to keep a running tab on random, non-recurrent expenses. For example, if you picked up some food to-go for your housemates, you can add that expense into the system. You and your partners will get frequent email reminders, so you'll never get upset with your roommates over money issues again. - Ever Note:-
Ever Note is a mammoth of a technology product, simply because there is very little that it cannot do when it comes to helping you remember and organize every single item or task in your life. Ever Note served me particularly well in college, as it is essentially a note-taking device that enables you to archive and organize all your thoughts. You can also take snapshots of anything with text in it--even handwritten notes--and Ever Note converts the text so that you can search for it in your database. If you find yourself always losing things, just take a note, and never be the absent-minded person you once were. - iFitness:-
I'm one of the laziest people in the world, but like everyone, I still need to get my exercise in to stay as healthy as I can, especially as I get older. At the same time, it's hard for me to keep track of my exercise schedule, to be sure that I am on top of things and exercising consistently. And exercising on a regular, scheduled basis is the only way to reap any benefits from exercise. iFitness made this scheduling and workout process possible. On the main menu, iFitness has specialized workouts for any type of person, according to fitness level and part of the body that you want to exercise. What's more, it helps you keep track of what you've accomplished on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
While, of course, there are tons of apps out there that make life more convenient, these I've found to be the most useful for me personally. If you are aware of other areas in your life that could be helped by application technology, then do a quick search, and you'll realize that yes, there's an app for that. There's an app for everything.
